On the fourth day of our Channel Islands adventure I got up early again. We would be remaining near Santa Cruz Island again today. More caves, more beautiful spots.
I had decided to try to capture the dawn sky --- not the bright glow of a sunrise but the colors of the sky before the sun came up. I thought about the way several of the other painters had painted the evening sky the night before and used the image of that to help me imagine the painting before I made it. This is my "Morning Light" painting.
A new day awaited..... new vistas.... new adventures.
