The location of this scene is the wine country in the sierra foothills of Northern California. It was a cool autumn morning spent with an artist friend. As we were scouting for a place to paint, I snapped a photo of this view before we moved on. We ended up painting another scene but I was happy I had something to work from when I returned to the studio. This was used as a demonstration for my pastel class.
