Contemporary Horse Art, Egyptian Arabian Horse Portrait by Theresa Paden

 Egyptian Arabian Horse Portrait
"Egyptian Gold"
Contemporary Equine Painting
By Theresa Paden
20 x 16" Acrylic on canvas

"Egyptian Gold" was created with many
layers of semi-transparent acrylic paint, which is
what gives it the look of shiny gold.

Our daughters used to ride our next-door-neighbor's
Egyptian Arabianhorse, named Butterfly, when they were
little and first learning to ride, as well as take care of horses.
Butterfly, just like the horsein this painting, had that
beautiful dishy face and large, kind eye that Arabian horses
are known for. She was also very patient, and let them
fawn over her for hours, brushing and braiding her mane!

This painting is from my 50 Horses in 50 Days series
which benefits rescued horses.
15% of the sales from the series are donated to
California Coastal Horse Rescue in Ojai
