MOONLIGHT MOTEL, TOM BROWN CONTEMPORARY RURAL LANDSCAPE



This entire painting was done with the palette knife. I enjoy the bold, clean strokes of color possible with this painting tool. And I like the surface texture that results.

This is a small Mom ‘n’ Pop motel on a country road that has been bypassed by freeways. It’s a kind of relic of bygone days. I call this painting “MOONLIGHT MOTEL.”
