MIDWEST BARN SCENE by TOM BROWN

While housecleaning my studio recently I discovered a stash of sketches from years ago. This painting was done from one of those forgotten sketches.

I had lived in the Midwest and often roamed the farms and countryside recording interesting subjects. I used the sketches to create paintings that were sold in galleries. But some of the sketches were stored away and never used.

One of those sketches showed this tattered blue work shirt hanging on a nail inside a barn window. Like my sketch, the shirt had long since been forgotten.

Today I finally got around to creating a painting from that sketch.

This painting is named “FORGOTTEN”
It is a 5x7 inch original oil on a Masonite art panel
