ART LESSON and PLEIN AIR LANDSCAPE by TOM BROWN

This one practically painted itself. I just grabbed the brush and hung on for the ride.

Nature was merely the starting point. I let the emerging painting speak to me and take on a life of its own. The result was pure magic.

The texture of lush juicy oils. The balance of rich color and subtle hues. Lively brush work that adds vitality and freshness of its own.

The painting itself became the real subject here: colors, strokes, edges, textures on the surface of the painting. And the memory of an unforgettable day outdoors.

“A DAY TO REMEMBER” is an original oil painting on a 6x8 inch Masonite panel.
