The summer garden has now faded, but not the memory!  This painting was inspired by memories of the color, texture and patterns of masses of summer flowers.  It's painted from imagination.  Most of my abstracts are subjective, meaning there's a subject that inspires the idea of the painting, and the color and texture of a summer floral display is the inspiration here.

I love to paint in acrylic on paper. Occasionally I paint abstractly in oil on canvas.   More on my work and exhibits may be found on my website:

I paint on location, travel, and visit current art exhibits throughout California.  My travels take me beyond California occasionally,   most often the Western states of the U.S.  I recently returned to home (Northern California) from an artist residency in southern Wyoming, where I was in residence for the month of August.  My art news and current events are found on my blog, which will have some blanks filled in.  Soon, I hope!
