This beautiful hawk sometimes visits our yard, and sits motionless in a specific tree for an extended time. Today I saw him arrive and I was able to quickly shoot a few reference photos. Then I dashed off to the studio and painted this while everything was still fresh in my mind. I was very pleased with how this one turned out, and I hope you like it too.
