HOWLING WIND BY TOM BROWN

Occasional bursts of rain came at a horizontal angle, blown by roaring winds that rocked my car.

It was a dramatic scene and I wanted to capture that feeling in a painting. But there are limits to painting outdoors. For this one I rested my small pochade box on my lap and painted from the comfort of my car.

I think the title says it all:
“HOWLING WINDS”
6x6 inch original plein air
oil painting by Tom Brown

Thanks for looking.
