"Threatening Skies" 11x14 Pastel by Joe Mancuso

As mentioned in previous posts, I am a sky watcher. I think one of the items on my bucket list should definitely be storm chasing in the Midwest during the spring. I know that sounds crazy, after all, most folks live in So Cal for the "good" weather right? I think the attraction to dramatic skies comes from all the good memories associated with afternoon High Sierra thunder storms during my childhood. My mother seemed to put a positive spin on stormy weather too. I can remember her excitement when the skies were threatening to storm. This was and continues to be a good experience for me.
