You could see through the cyclone fence, but you could also see the fence itself.
The challenge was how to paint the fence and “NOT” paint the fence. It had a translucent quality, with the background only partially visible.
The detail image reveals how I did it, along with how I rendered the wire mesh of the fence without overworking it.
“NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T” is a 5x7-inch original plein air oil painting.
