SECRET PICNIC SPOT, PLEIN AIR LANDSCAPE by TOM BROWN

For this painting I used one of my favorite pochade paint boxes; you can see it in the photo below. It makes outdoor painting so simple because it holds my wet palette and painting as I work. And I can leave my wet painting inside to take it home. The pochade box weights less than a pound but it’s very sturdy so it can really take a beating. Best of all it cost a tiny fraction of most other commercial models.
